Dear Our Lady of Peace Family,

The Knights of Columbus heartily invite you to a free dance on Saturday, February 15 in the school gymnasium. This dance is not just for Knights. It is not just for school parents. It is not just for parishioners. It is for everyone and their guests!

Besides our festival there is not much opportunity for us to gather, have good food, spirited drinks, great music, dancing and just having fun. The Knights are providing this for all of you. The gym holds a lot of people. With our Deibel-Bonnette Ramp our gym is the closest thing we have to a true parish social hall, and it is easily accessible to all!

And did I say the dance is free? Yes, the dance is free. There is a cash bar, a silent auction and a 50-50 raffle, but the food, and the music, and the fellowship are all free. The Knights are accepting good-will donations for the evening for its big charity, Coats for Kids. Every year Terry Martin goes out and shops for the best deals for coats. Every fall, the Knights travel to McArthur, Ohio with a King Furniture truck full of these coats and other household items donated by the people of the parish. It is an annual gift that the community there looks forward to each fall.

Scion of the parish, Ed Price is the official chairman of this event. Master chef of the parish, Rick Pisauro is providing Hawaiian fare for good eating. Event planner extraordinaire, Cena Creaturo is coordinating the logistics. The theme for the dance is Hawaiian Getaway, and the gym will be transformed into a warm tropical paradise in the middle of a cold, gray Ohio February. Music is provided by OLP alumnus and parent, Cameron Wallace. The Knights promise that this will be a fun evening.

Come out and support the Knights. Come out and meet new parishioners and school parents. Come out and treat your sweetheart to a fun, inexpensive evening. Don’t make reservations at an expensive restaurant. The Knights have got you covered!

And did I mention free babysitting? Yes, students from the school will be watching your little ones in the cafeteria. Can any better deal be had?

There is one catch. The Knights need you to pre-register for the event. The flier with the QR code is in both the school newsletter and in the parish bulletin. You can also simply call the school or parish and say, “Hey, I’m coming, and I’m bringing 8 of my closest friends, so save me a whole table. The Knights will do that for you!

Register today. Come on Saturday, February 15 at 7pm. The Knights guarantee that if you don’t have a fabulous time, they will refund the full cost of admission. Oh, wait. Admission is free! Food is free. Music and dancing are free. Babysitting is free. Parking is free. A better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day cannot be found in Central Ohio.

I hope to see you there!
